The Coop >>

In Autumn 2005 four people; Caz Phillips, Mike Pattinson, Andy Bater, and David Petty met at the ‘EcoDysgu’ project near Bridgend, South Wales with the common aim of purchasing a woodland in which to set up rural businesses, take the opportunity to both enjoy and enhance biodiversity, and develop Permaculture in practice.

South West Wales was the focus of our search due to the good climate, affordable land, and contacts in the region. Marros south was on the market at the time and after viewing it we agreed that it fitted our requirements better than any other land we had seen in our separate searches for land, and that it would be an ideal opportunity around which we could group together and base our land project. We pooled our money and bought the land on April the 19th 2006. We spent that night celebrating under the full moon. Hoorah, the land is ours!
